The SEAConn Board of Directors are the governing body of the organization and consists of the Officers plus two Board Members elected by the membership. The Board manages the business and the affairs of the Association and upholds and promotes the purposes and objectives of the Association as stated in the SEAConn Bylaws.

Rick graduated from the University of Connecticut in 2013 with a master’s degree in structural engineering. He is a project engineer at DeStefano & Chamberlain and is a licensed engineer in 8 states and the District of Columbia.

Rick joined the SEAConn board of Directors in 2021 and became the Vice President in 2023. He has served on the Building Code Advisory Committee and is an active member of the Timber Frame Engineering Council where he serves on the Technical Activities Committee. Rick has co-authored several technical papers and design guides on the topics of Cross Laminated Timber (CLT) diaphragms, Timber Engineering, and Ultra High-Performance Concrete.

Rick is an avid fisherman, makes super-premium small batch ice cream, and is an amateur meteorologist.

Tom Curry Jr., pe, se

GNCB Consulting Engineers

Tom Curry, Jr. joined the GNCB Team in 2021. His experience includes design and construction administration for a variety of low-rise, mid-rise, and high-rise building structures. Mr. Curry brings extensive knowledge of local and national building codes to the Team as well as experience with progressive structural systems. He is integral to GNCB’s technical standards and quality assurance programs.
